    Cheap mounts?

Cotswold mounts are a good price, but due to the postage it's better if you can order enough to spread the cost.

    Photo book online

Another vote for photobox, I have created several book with them. If you can wait for one of their many special offers you can get them quite cheap, I'm currently working on a 100 page A4 book that I bought in September when they were 70% off.

    Lightroom searching

Thanks Dave, I'll have a look when I get time as I like B&W photo's. Busy trying to reduce the size of my photo library at the moment, hence this question. Nigel.............

Thanks Jermey, that works a treat. Thanks Dave, This link requires an account to be set up, does it describe an alternative to Jermeys solution? Nigel................

    Lightroom searching

Does anyone know of a way of searching for all photo's in a folder that have been processed (i.e. modified). I want to be able to export them, but it takes a long time to manually go through my libraries and look for them. Nigel...............

FF or crop camera for wildlife

Have to agree with Rob here, field craft, patience and knowledge will give you bigger gains than equipment. Also, the 300 f4 with a 1.4 converter give the best IQ for the money, IHMO. I have used that combination for a number of years and it can produce stunning sharpness and detail. Good...

I tend to use the crop mode for this very reason. When photographing these Hobbies I knew all the shots would need to be cropped anyway and the extra buffer capacity would be very useful. Hobby flyby by NikonNigel, on Flickr The only drawback is you run the risk of not keeping the...

Rob, a friend on mine came up with a method, we call it the six inch nail test. Basically put a big nail in a plank of wood and shoot down the plank at low level (largest aperture). You should be able to see the DOF either side of the nail. Ideally you should have a1/3 in front and 2/3 behind...

I'm with Rob on this one, the 70-200 f2.8 is a great lens, fast focusing and sharp, sharp , sharp. How I have AF tuned my D7100 for all my lens/converter combinations I as happy as Larry (who every Larry is!) On a recent trip to the British Wildlife Centre it produced some amazing images...

    Black Rapid Strap question

I bought the buck, looks neater, but a couple of friends have gone down the cable tie route. It's cheap and it works. Love the strap, I almost forget I have to 300 on the camera!
