It's an amazing lens, and it's not too hard to repair if things do go wrong with it. I got mine for £225 'cos it was broken (electrical problem). The part to repair it was £50, and took about 2 hours, with the added bonus that I could clean everything up at the same time! Don't be afraid to buy...

Yes, I'm glad I moved to FF, I think it's improved my photography, but hard to tell 'cos the new camera is so much better than the old one - any improvement may just be down to a better camera rather than a better photographer! Shots are definitely better...
I'm looking for the GPS unit too - Bristol Cameras have had one listed at £275 for a long time now, but they tend not to stock items and just order them from the manufacturer when the customer orders it. Would love to find someone that actually has them in stock...
