S Yes in answer to somebody's question - those figures were with other stuff closed downIf you only have 1GB of RAM then you are very near maxing out.
If you have installed a lot of things like the Google toolbar and others these can gobble up...

I have now succeeded in downloading the add-ons which make it possible - must have hit the wrong download button before!

OK Anorakus - I have now found how to display the shots in thumbnail but have hit another snag. I can't find how to email shots out -well there is a place but it says I need to download add-ons.
So I started to do this but as I installed the program it seemed to turn into lists of duplicates...
Anorakus - am playing with Irfanview.
With Canon Zoombrowser I have been able to display my photos across the screen in four or five across and scroll down for the complete file.
I can't work out in Irfanview how to do this - (if it has this facility?) - I just get the one photo large I click...

I am trying to download photos from my friend's Canon IXUS 220HS into my Windows XP computer.
It appeared to download them OK but when I click on a photo with Microsoft Photo Editor it gives a notice saying 'The image is too large (too many bytes)'
The videos play but very badly in sound OK...
