    Rock and hard place.

I lost my job in September and it's seriously hard work finding another, stick with it and build your photography business up on the side, then when your sure you have enough clients and can make it work go for it all guns blazing bud!!

    50mm Headshots

I use a 50mm 1.8 on a 50D and a 5D mkii with no issues what so ever. As said above on a crop body your shooting more at 75mm which is perfect for portrait head shots.

Nissan Note - Opinions, & auto or manual?

If your hdi engine is the same one as the Peugeot 306 90 hdi then I can confirm it has no dpf, I had a Peugeot 306 and it done me for over 200,000 miles before I gave it to my brother in law as a run around work horse. Fantastic engine that if you look after it will look after you for years to...

Should I up grade my lens to L series or not ?

I upgraded from a 55-250 to a 70-200 f4L when I got my 5D mkii, the 55-250 went to my other half and she loves it, almost as much as I love my 70-200 :) Trust me go for it you won't regret it!! The lens is sharp throughout and the colour and af speed blew me away. As said above try yours...

    Newbie equipment advice

Stevie the only thing I'd watch out for with the Nikons is as mentioned the focus motor isn't in the body so lens choice is difficult, also the Auto iso feature is only available in auto mode so if you want to use the more manual modes you would need to set the iso yourself ( not always a major...

Canon 5D mk II official owners/users thread, anything related to the 5D2

I used one a couple of years back and fell in love straight away but funds wouldn't allow me to upgrade until recently. It was a choice between a MKiii and this but I'm sure I made the right choice in my mind.

Hi guys, Thought I'd join the club!! Just purchased my 5D mkii from park cameras, it was in MINT condition and only had 5000 actuations, I paid £800 for it and am absolutely over the moon. I came from a 50D but will keep the 50D for the crop factor :)

    Adobe Alternatives

I am in no way part of the no pp brigade, in fact I'd love to enhance my pp skills to see what I could do with my images  I still have my canon T90 although it is somewhat gathering dust at the moment due to setting up my own darkroom as snappy snaps keep screwing my film up. I've...

I in no way accused you of saying it was bad, I said you say that as if it's a bad thing, there's a difference. I didn't accuse you of talking rubbish, I do use photoshop elements but it's very rare as half the time I find I like the original shot more than the pp'd version. And I am in no way...

You say that like it's a bad thing, I have very limited skills with PP and always try and get the best from my camera as that's what photography means to ME, not being able to take an ok picture and making it better with a computer. If that works for you then fantastic but if like me you prefer...

    Help me choose a car

Focus diesel all the way, I've just bought a 2010 1.6 dtci and I love it, I drove to lyden hill race track which is a good 50 miles away from me and home again on £10 of diesel!! Plenty of space for a bike with the back seats folded down and it's not a bad looking car by any means
