As a newbie to all things dslr I have to say I fell for a lot of the crap the sales people 'sold me' and bought UV filters for all my lenses for protection.. since then I have removed them unless i'm somewhere really muddy or sandy and just have the hood on, I personally haven't noticed any...

I had a Fuji bridge for a few years at 16 years old, got bored of it as I found it limiting and lost interest... fast forward to now (23 years old) and I spend a lot of time outdoors with work and wanted a hobby that I can do with my girlfriend who is also very keen.

I can definitely have my moments haha!

I'm not quite as cynical :) if someone offers me something in goodwill I tend to be thankful.

I think I would have told them exactly where to go to be honest, a goodwill gesture from yourself and they act like that! Like others have said though, common in our everyday society.

All seems very odd to me, certainly won't be ordering from them until it all settles down again! Shame

I've got over 700 feedback (over 100 are for items sold) and only being stung once, someone did a chargeback on an item that was a few hundred pounds, since then i've always been very careful. If i'm buying any photography related that is expensive, I prefer to look for auctions less than 50...

Everytime I see shots from a wide angle I want to buy one but always worry it will be a fad for me..

I've rang and had an answer before but when I rang in the middle of the night here, so obviously during there business hours... no good ringing a HK based company and expecting them to answer the phone in the middle of the night (in HK) ;)

Ordered new camera and lens on Saturday, bearing in mind I knew it was bank holiday so wouldn't be posted until Mon and it had arrived yesterday afternoon! That is faster than other things I bought from the UK last week and still haven't arrived.... Well done Panamoz as far as i'm concerned :)

Good question this and something i've wondered for a while but never thought to ask, just invested in a hood for my 50mm 1.4 as i've only ever had a filter on it!

I had a 400d as my first camera (after a Fuji bridge) and found it to be a really good camera, was great to learn how to use a camera properly and it just seemed right for me which is why when I upgraded I got a 650d as I was so used to the size/weight etc.

good luck, will be interesting to see how valuable this course is, if it looks good I will be giving it a whirl in March after my bonus!
