Thanks think i'll be mainly taking photos of objects/flowers etc rather than flys etc due to the need for the extra reach and the cost of the lenses. Tamron and the sigma are what i thought might be the best bet! @grahamc that nikon 55mm looks to take nice shots too!! Am i right the...

I've just upgraded my D60 to a D90, only 2 days old, feels really nice in the hand, great LCD, higher frame rate better iso, (pictures of the dog last night) I'd say jump in if you can afford it!
