Hi guys, any thoughts on a cheaper alternative silver thumb grip for my X100 here in the UK. There is loads on ebay but I don't like the look of the alen key type. Buggered if I'm spending £50 importing a lensmate grip.

It defiantly back-focused mate. I tested way too much. The camera has gone back for a replacement which should have been here Friday. Due to a massive balls up after balls up by DPD I now have to wait till Monday. Not happy. I'm not giving up yet though ;) will update next week!

Anyway, suppose it doesn't even matter now - Camera is going back to shop. I have found it is also suffering from SAB issues. setting camera to f16 and watching the blades with half-press shutter is showing all different sizes of aperture. Brilliant. They said they tested it in the shop.... no...

Totally agree woof woof, I'm just hoping that one piece of kit that has been optimised to work great will be much less frustrating then multiple elements that need "calibrating" It's my first experience with Fuji so we'll see ;)

Hi, I tested one out in a camera shop the other day (after going there to try a X100) just for fun and wa really blown away by it. But remember I am new to mirrorless cameras. It seemed to pack loads of nice quality and a zoom into a really compact camera. (Just bought a X100 though ;)

Had both, my experience with a 400D... Depends on what you want it for. I had a Siggy 30mm - sharp from 1.4 upwards on near subjects. Once I bought it home it I discovered it front focused by about 2 foot. Was great in low light. Returned it. Bought the 28mm. took it to a friends wedding...
