So I am trying to decide between macro lenses for a sony alpha mount.
The Sony 100mm f2.8 is way over priced as are most sony lenses so I am trying to avoid it. Sigmas potentially have focus issues with SLT's. So I am trying to decide between the Tamron 60mm F2 and the Tamron 90mm F2.8.
Ok...
Adobe camera RAW is used by both photoshop and lightwave. It is regulary updated to cater for new cameras. The latest update (download for free) caters for the GF1:

You just install it and and voila lightwave now has support :)
I wouldn't be so hasty my friend.
The G11 is a compact with a tiny compact sensor. One of the larger ones granted but still a compact sensor with all it's drawbacks. The GF1 is not. It has a four thirds sensor and will give you all the creative flexabilty (mainly DOF choice) of an SLR...
Yes it look like your right. Small world the internet makes! Great advice though and it doesn't harm to bring it up again.
Absolutly! Although none of this advice is about thinking on the job (so to speak) and I think the below point kind of says the same:
• Never forget why you...
I saw this article post on "The Online Photographer" website and written by Cheryl Jacobs Nicolai. Some of the points I have included below made me smile and Nod:
Never apologize for your own sense of beauty. Nobody can tell you what you should love. Do what you do brazenly and...
I have just had it today and I need to get out and try it out on my intended subject.
Yes your right it has many downfalls. Focus speed is awful and not very good in low light. LCD not nearly up to todays standards. Flash is nearly useless. I could go on but I knew about all these things...
The ideal solution for me was always going to be a camera I could keep on my person in a coat pocket but I have had many compacts before and for various reasons already mentioned they never did the job. So I thought the only way was to get a cheaper SLR setup to keep in the car but the meant...
That Panny G1 is a nifty little thing. Very impressive. Tick's all the right box's with some very interesting new features.
That is until I saw the £500 price tag....ouch :nono:
Yeah they arn't a bad price at all but I only intend to stick with whatever kit lens some with it and the 18-70 that comes with the A200 doesn't get a very good write up. For a kit lens that is. I don't expect it to be Canon L standard but some kit lenses are better than others.
Oh and to be...
Well yeah shoot...develop...then buy a good enough scanner to do really 35mm film justice and I think we are back in the same price range and not enough use to justify the cost.
It is food for thought though. ;)
A canon would be my first choice as my main system is canon. It just winds me up canon choose to leave off a so called "pro feature" such as spot metering on their lowend SLR's. I have always thought it must be harder to impliment but other manufaturers prove that wrong. I only use spot metreing...
Panasonic G1? Haven't even looked at Panny's. Will check it out thanks.
yeah that's a good price...Don't know much about the E500. Will have a read up thanks.
The Sony A100/200 is very appealing as well especially considering the on body image stab.
