went away for a few days last week and took welding glass in the hope of using it. this is mysecond attempt at taking one and thought i would try to keep it in colour as best as I can. it turned out better than I thought it would
i just count myself unlucky then. probably not worth a disputre as it was from china or hong kong. Have bought filters etc but never had a prob. will maybe try again
I needed an extra battery for my sony camera and couldnt afford a sony one so purchased a look alike one from ebay. Only thing is its had about 5 charges and now it wont go more then 2%! am i just unlucky or is it because its just a cheap rip off?
hi all, I dont post very often but have been reading your threads with interest. have bought myself a welding glass and took a shot. How do I determine how many stops my particular piece of glass is as I read that they all vary a bit?
I also am a beginner and ask lots of to others stupid questions, but hey I will more than likely never meet any one else from here so it doesnt really matter. I look in awe at some of the photos and even if I was in the same place at the same time with same kit mine just would not be the same...
obviously without any apparent problems? I have a sony 200 and shoot in Raw. just looked at one for ref and its 3872 x 2592 pixels approx 16 x 10 inches at 240 resolution. How do I work out the largest print I can get after doing a bit of work in photoshop and changing it to jpeg?
hi all, after loking at everyones stunnign macro shots thought I would have a go at the samll stuff too but am confused as to what kit I need.
For me I think macro means insects the size of ladybirds, very close up shots of plants and hopefully water droplet kind of things. I am not sure...
I love mine! I dont know enough to know what a more expensive camera will do that this one doesnt (apart from live vie but i can live with that) and i am so happy with mine. go to a camera shop and hold a few and see how they feel

thanks for the advice. I actually contacted the manufactures and they said it could be used if I wanted but it would be a very harsh light but gave no indication of how to do it . Not sure about the weight aspect as underwater its held on a tray and flexible arm. I just thought that as the unit...
