Cheers for that, makes interesting reading and certainly another to add to the mix

    Nikon lens

Cheers for that, however I'm not going for the Nikon 500mm unless one comes up at sub £2k and then I'm not sure, hence asking about only the lens mentioned. Yep its my choice, I could have looked at the 300 f/4 but the reviews for that are far below IQ of the 2.8 so that is out of the door...

Sweet, I'll pay the asking price for a S/H 300 f2.8 and you pay the difference for the 500mm :) Otherwise I'll stick within my budget rather than spend silly money

Cheers for that OE, I'd already found that review, however I was more interested to know views between the 300 2.8 with use of different TC's against the new kid on the block the Sigma 150-600 Sport. I already have the Nikon 70-200vr 2.8 and use the 1.4 and 1.7 converters on that, but I still...

    Nikon lens

I have been wondering which lens option would be considered better, I'm after a longer reach lens for wildlife to use on my D810 body. I was looking to test and maybe buy the new Sigma 150-600 sport lens as its getting great reviews, however getting one to try and buy seems an issue, at lest...

Please tell me more as I'm also Norwich based and wouldn't mind coming to see what a CC is all about and maybe join if I think its for me

Someone wants to use my photo- help please

Sue, well done, picture looks great. As for the ANTI freebies brigade well all I have to say is I have more respect for you than them, job or no job photography is meant to be fun and occasionally doing a good turn for no benefit other than the feel good factor means more to me than worrying...

    Shooter560's 52 - Updated with Week 5

Hi ya, fav choc, thats a hard one, today its gotta be Banana and Jamaican Rum (56%) in a light whipped milk choc centre, as I make everything with no added flavours, artificial colours etc everything is short-ish shelf life so I make new most days and change them regularly too so fav's only seem...

    Shooter560's 52 - Updated with Week 5

Cheers, actually hand making chocolates isn't hard work once you know what you're doing :) but what a life spending all day playing with melted chocolate and eating all I like (well eating my profits I guess :( )

    Shooter560's 52 - Updated with Week 5

Sorry week 5 slightly late, also not the best subject but these are as hard as I can eat, or was that used to be able to eat :) Need to really work on close up lighting as I know I'll have lots of sweets to photograph in the near future. C&C most welcome Sugared Almonds DSC_5575 by...

    WillJ's Photo 52 - Week 10 - 'Trio' now added!

Nice take on the theme, dof is very good and the clarity of the ring is good, though a pity the numbers from the back of the page bleed through as that for me ruins the sudoku part of it

    Patrick's 52 for 2011 - Week 31 "Wind"

    RedTele's 2011 Photo 52 - Week 12 and 13 added

Now that is just too hard for me :) picture tells a great story and so well handled too, everything works a treat, busy but not too busy and the use of B&W couldn't be bettered for me, very impressed :)

    Blondie606's Photo52 2011-Wk 52 Glass & Nature,Challenge Complete

I think you're nuts are spot on :p I don't think the glare off the crackers detracts from the shot at all, however (and I've not tried this yet) I do remember seeing a vid of taking a watch shot and they took one with lighting to work with the bezel and another lit for the face and then...

    Albi's 52 for 2011. : Week 6 - Clutter. Week 7- Delicate.

I also agree the rust spots add a lot to the shot, making them more natural and just what I'd expect to see in a workshop, clarity, colours and the odd refection are also spot on, well done
