Hi digfrog I use a hp laptop 2.2 ghz with 4 gb ram it's ok to handle the big raws but bit slow in lr4 and ps5, wil be upgrading in few months when windows latest version comes out. More ram I think prob 8gb ram should do trick with fast processor also

My friend has one he found it had problems but they seem good in theory and I'm sure they are but there expensive I find I myself just use the 2tb wd externals and there good value that's just my opinion

Yes height width I have used longest edge before but not in this case as I want the max resolution saved

I dont crop them in Lightroom but I see ur point if I did, I don't compress them either in thr export option there raw files. Exporting as tiffs

Hi Just curious could someone explain, When I export an image in portrait mode the size is smaller than landscape orientation even though the export settings are thr same why is this just curious??? Thanks for reading

I stuck to pc bit buy a wide gamut monitor I have a dell 27 inch u2711 at 2500 resolution even better reviews than apple but these days all the major software program's have windows versions where they didn't always so no in my opinion pcs are better and macs have that horrible glare

No I left output off I guess if I'm decreasing the size I should add it what's your opinion on this and setup as regard sharpness during export if any (low-med -high)?

That's the thing been an experienced Lr user and currently using lr4 I'm seen quiet a difference on certain images when viewing at 1:1 ratio
