The only thing which keeps catching me out is the change of location for the zoom in and out, from where it was on 7D, its driving me nuts!!

I made the same move last month, and after playing with the 5d3 every day since then, to learn it I can say its a world of difference to the 7D. For one thing I haven't missed focus yet on anything taken lol, and having taken a lot of indoor stuff it's turning out to be a superb piece of kit :)...

I find myself randomly carrying mine around the house still - either because I've lost the plot or still can't believe I own one :) !

Mine came from HDEW. Contact with them and service was spot on and I have 3 years worth of warranty with them as well. One year Canon own and two more through them direct so no complaints there. 😊

Can anyone tell me if there is a shortcut setup button to access the AF variables please? So much to learn with the 5D3!

I have now found it quite useful to have the cf card set up for raw and the sd card set up for jpegs. Then via the sd card adapter which you can get to plug into the charging slot ( either from apple or via 3rd party) you can easily drop images straight onto the iPad. Much easier than the 7d and...

I tried out that lens at last weeks Focus on Imaging, on my week old 5D3- was amazing. Tried the 85mm as well - how heavy are those things lol. Biggest laugh was when the Canon rep on the stand thought my 24-70 mk2 was also a trial lens and attempted to put it back on their shelf !!

You don't get much better subject material than that! What lens do you use for those photos?
