Hi my wife (whos account thi is) has a fairly the same problem, the 5D has a far softer coating on the filter in front of the sensor....some vague roomers od "issues". Basically around £300 to get it replaced.....I think she will buy a second 5D body and get her current body converted to IR...

can you browse to the routers management page via the browser? Assuming you get your IP address from the router what happens if you go to the command prompt and type IPCONFIG - do you get a valid IP address?
