Non-Davinci Resolve simple video editor recommendations

I used Video Pad for many years before switching over to Resolve. Iif i'm just wanting a simple edit I still use it as its quicker than Resolve for a basic edit. At £60 for the home version (only has 2 soundtracks) its a nice cheap one off cost. Video Pad

    Video settings

Dont move, lock the camera on a tripod pointing at the person speaking, while that is going on use your phone to get extra shots. A different angle, closer or wider, some b-roll of what they are doing even if its just typing a keyboard anything to make it a bit more interesting. On behalf of...

Adding a light and/or shotgun to a phone

You could try one of these I have a similar one, plenty of hotshoe mounts and 1/4 thread mounts and for around £20 its not a bad price, there are much dearer ones available. I mounted a cheap phone holder on the bottom of mine just so it would hold a powerbank. You'll also find once your used...

    Beginner Music Video

Watch this video Paisley Camcorder Club Filmed by a camera club using numerous cameras at the same time (because they only had 1 chance to get it) its a great use of different shots, angles, plenty of B roll and for me it really gives a great feeling of being there. Obviously some of the B roll...

    DJI Mic mini question?

I bought it a few months ago, its great. I video my grand daughter (she is 3) when we go for days out and wanted to pick up all the funny things kids that age say. It works great, the furthest she was away from me was the length of a football pitch and it picked her up no problem. I've not had...

Any chance of an update of how they are working out for you?

Video cameras with good image stabilisation?

Yes I did. Resolve probably the best editing software out there. And the free version will do everything you could ever want.

Video cameras with good image stabilisation?

Bouncy footage is down to the person holding it, not the cameras stabilisation. Plus its easy enough to fix in Resolve. I bought one of those mini skateboard things meant for table top camera movement One of these attached a GoPro and selfie stick to push it with and pushed it along a large...

Video cameras with good image stabilisation?

GoPros have great stabilisation built in, if you get the 'media mod' for it there is a HDMI connection built into it. Media Mod: HDMI Output

    Godox movielink?

Ive been looking at the same type of set up, I am leaning more towards the DJI Mic 2 version, but for a budget version this seems to be getting some good reviews. Neewer CM28 I'll have a look at the Godox version now, I wasnt aware of it.

Does leaving a video camera running for extended periods wear anything out?

Watch this video not a video camera but a dslr thats been running constantly for the last 10years, he doesnt seem to have any sensor burn issues.
