You don’t need to know maths at all, maybe thinking you do has got in the way and stopped you from being creative with the camera. In time you can gain a good understanding of what settings to use for lighting conditions or whether you want to blur the background etc, balancing the exposure with...
I started taking a phone shots in 2009, mainly of landscapes and where I was driving to. I got more into it and got a compact camera a year later and my first DSLR in 2011. It wasn’t very good but I learnt a lot about composition in that time and shot pretty much anything, I loved it and was...
It depends, if you go full in with all the drone footage and walking shots and you’re recording those while conditions are temporarily great for stills there’s a strong chance you’ll miss the very best shots. I’m paid as a photographer and videographer but honestly to do both at the same time...
It’s Swedish
I back up onto two external hard drives of 12TB and the processed JPEG’s are uploaded to OneDrive.
People keep saying storage is cheap but the longer you’ve been doing photography and the more files you need to back up it gets very expensive.
I'd go for the D800e out of those but ideally something newer, they're old cameras now and a lot could have happened to them. A D750 could be a decent option, newer camera and should find one with a low shutter count
My guess is if it works on Windows 8 it’ll work on 10. I’ve not got a computer that’ll even run Windows 11 and I guess that could be where you’d struggle with CS5.
I can understand not wanting subscription software but Adobe Photographers Edition wasn’t a bad price during Black Friday and the...
As above and also Penrith is a good base for Ullswater which should be on your list. There’ll probably be pockets of colour but don’t expect peak autumn until late October or early November
Makes perfect sense from spring until late summer by pitching up for sunset and staying for over for sunrise. Quiet rural spots are best and if you can find a gated road that’s ideal as far less chance of being disturbed. But usually find the corner of an empty layby then use blankets, coats...
Makes sense to walk the Great Ridge and head up Kinder from where you’re staying. Grindslow Knoll and Ringing Roger are easy enough and once you’re up it’s basically flat if you want to go elsewhere. Chrome Hill and that area is great but don’t expect autumn foliage there in November, you need...
I think that too but that's social media, no telling who will go down well and who won't - it doesn't seem to come down to the photography. His vlogs are usually a good watch but the last one was a mess.
I don't think I've seen it mentioned but Photography Online is worth a go
