Thanks for the returns, I first discovered the pictures were not as sharp as expected on a shoot in the studio, switched lenses to find the same. Looked up on the Internet to find a test card for focusing and it's was still very soft. I've just invested in a 50m f1.2 so I'm confident its not...

Seems I having a growing problem on my 5d with focusing issues. It is definitely not the lens as switched between cameras to check, any similar user issues or ideas where to get fixed? Nikon nutter need not return. Nice one
