Well I got a set of extension tubes and have been playing with them for hte last week and am reposting my 'New Growth' photo as Still a bit of work to do as a bit soft around the edges, but better than my original attempt!

thanks Dawn. I took a few shots from different angles, but didnt really find a particularly pleasing one that gave the detail of the sign and that managed to get the doorway in. I've added some of the other shots onto my Flickr account if you like to take a look. Sam
