    OOf Photo

It was my reply to comments that someone working on a street stall and who didn't want to be photographed must be 1) an illegal immigrant, 2) dodgy. Can now add 3) fradulently claiming benefits. All suppositions. That's it.

You can see stalls exactly the same as his in every big town in Europe at the weekends. As to the origin of the goods - that's an essay unto itself. Yep he's not caucasian, yep he doesn't want his picture taken. Don't read too much into either of those things. Namaste

I'd chuck it - for the reason that he didn't want to be photographed.

    Is 35mm still worth it

Pretty straightforward decision for me - I can't afford a digital camera or PC to process and store digital photos, but most of all because I much prefer the look of film - it's more in tune with how the eye responds to light, and all digital photos to me have the same dull 'dry' look, so I...

If you are thinking of buying on e-bay from this seller?????

Were all the items sent in one package or seperately? Was it sent by recorded post? The seller has an overwhelmingly postive feedback rating, so if sent seperately then it's possible that whatever wasn't delivered has gone missing in the post rather than any wrong doing on his part. If sent in...

    Olympus bargain.

I've got two OM2ns, an Fm and an FE2. The OM2ns look good, feel nice and are noticably smaller than the Nikons, which is useful sometimes. But the Nikons (and the Nikkor lenses) are significantly more substantial and better built. Both of the OM2ns have had to have their meters recalibrated and...

    Morning all

Thanks Cg! Are you tempted to try a film camera? - you should be able to pick up a decent one for £20-£30 or so to see if you like it. The welcome here has been great! Cheers

    Morning all

Hi, I've just spent a fun couple of hours reading some posts on the Film thread, and thought it'd be a good idea to get involved. I haven't as yet joined any other photography forums, but I'm looking forward to making a contribution here - everybody seems friendly, which makes a nice change...
