I have two rolls of exposed film from my Dad. No markings, but it looks like old B&W Svema 65 from late 80s. I will try to develop it next week. What is the common wisdom for this case? 1:100 Rodinal at 20c for one hour with a few rotations every 15 minutes. I do it manually in a tank. Please...

Recently I have the same issue with 50mm 1.4. First visit to canon service center - they made MA -15. Still I was not happy. Second visit - calibration of the lens and MA -7. It looks OK now.

Maybe it is better to post it to feedback and critique section? :)

OK. I got my lens from Canon service. It was calibrated. But still they put a micro-adjustment (-7) on Canon 50d. Photos are tack sharp now. But I am not sure what will happen when I put the same lens on Canon EOS 3, if there is no micro-adjustment option. Does it mean it will be slightly...

This is exactly what I was saying. Right, in manual mode it is up to you to follow the meter or not. But depending on the selected mode it will show a bit different data. Example: in manual mode I have aperture at 1.4 and shutter at 100. If I put spot metering it may show me that picture is...

Interesting. I always thought meter would give different reading depending on the mode. Even if it is manual. While in manual, did you actually follow the meter? So it is always in the middle?

tell me :) I have old minolta film camera..and a set of lenses..all work just fine..no issues...tack sharp. I guess quality control is not a top priority for canon these days..

Not really, thus adjustment has been made in the camera. Maybe I should ask for a calibration...:thinking:

Not sure If I am posting to the right forum, but the question is related to film cameras (I have Canon EOS 3) and Canon lens (I have Canon 50mm 1.4). On my DSRL I can adjust it, and I did it, 'cause this lens was not tack sharp. How to deal with film camera then? I am using the same lens...
