I just posted part one of my three part series on layer blending modes in Photoshop. It covers some of the basics about the different modes, how to combine multiple images/textures into a shot, an alternate way of color and exposure correction, and a few other things.
The tutorials may seem...
Glad they helped all of you! I'm working on a big 3-part series on Photoshop blending modes, so stay tuned. It's something I've had some requests for and have wanted to do for a long time.
I just wrote a post on my blog about how to use curves in Photoshop. It goes over some of the basics of what can be done with curves, and how to accomplish it.
There are a couple of YouTube videos, and a before & after shot of mine demonstrating how powerful curves can be.
Hopefully it...
Heh, I primarily use Portraiture to do my skin smoothing. Shhhh.... I used to do it manually, but Portraiture just makes things so much easier since I tend to edit batches of files at once.
I just wrote a blog post about how to smooth skin in Photoshop, and thought I'd share it. It covers some of the basics of:
* The different blur techniques (gaussian, surface, and smart blur) used to actually make the skin smoother.
* Different layer blending modes used to help make...
I suppose you're right Hoppy. I'm really trying to focus now on finding models with a very specific look, attitude, & style that I can work well with. Up till now, I've pretty much been working with anyone who says yes :) I'm sure my work will improve quite drastically in the coming months if...
It's funny you mention that about the shots of Celeste, because I did that to every one of em :D. I tend to do that to many of the shots I take outside because I'm just not good enough (yet) and controlling and working with the lighting in nature. It also wouldn't surprise me if our monitors...
I'm fascinated by people, and they are my primary interest for photography. I'd like to get into the more tasteful, erotic side of photography, but I don't want to do much unless I have a good grasp of what makes a photo worth looking at.
I finally got into photography about six months ago...
That just seems odd to me. Why would I want it to recreate a bunch of JPEGs in a new folder? All I want is one contact sheet with 6 images per page. I think we may be misunderstanding each other :)
That's exactly what happened to me the first time I created a contact sheet once I upgraded...
I've searched the web and these forums to no end, and can't find anyone else who has ever had this problem. I'm REALLY trying to warm up to LR, but it's just error after error for me...
Whenever I go through the motions to create a contact sheet, once I click "print to file", I get a dialog...
Yeah, that was probably the best video I've seen that demonstrates how to select hair. Glad you found it useful!
I spend a ton of time watching YouTube videos on Photoshop technique, and enjoy sharing the good ones. Is there anything in particular you'd like me to do some research on?
I just wrote a post entitled Selecting Hair in Photoshop that shows many different ways to select someone's hair, jacket fur, or an animal's fur so that you can move them to another image, change hair color etc. Some of the concepts demonstrated are:
* Creating masks from the channels in...
I agree with you about the catchlights, those look fake. Glad you found them useful though. Once I get some screen capture software and a webcam, I hope to start making some of my own. Thanks again for watching!
