I have a fantastic double harness made to my specification by a saddler in southport.
In my opinion far better quality than the moneymaker ,all hand stitched with not one rivet and cost me under £100.
I wore it at a wedding for almost 15 hours carrying 2 x D800 with 24-70 f2.8 and 70-200 f2.8 ...
Ok that video has reassured me a little. I will probably hold onto my optec has for awhile but for me having the weight of a 70-200 straining the lens mount could be an issue.
Using the tripod mount on the lens seems to provide a more balanced suspension if you know what I mean.
As a foot note...
Having looked at videos of the moneymaker dual strap I'm having a saddler make me a variant one to my spec.
His work looks amazing and only uses top quality leather. I reckon it will be half the cost of the moneymaker but I will have to buy 1/4" lugs/D rings for the cameras. I'm opting for...
I'm thinking of going down to take a few shots. My plan was to get there early by parking away and walking to whatever view point I choose. Set up and then just chill and wait.

Question:
I want to speed up recycle time on my on camera flash by using an additional couple of off camera...
Raw or Jpeg ?
Auto ISO or not ?
Program or Manual ?
The same questions arise all the time and I think its down to competence. Its been a long time since I have done weddings in fact the last wedding I shot was on film.
I had no choice of output apart from film speed governed by the light...
a bit late to the party but having only recently aquired my D800 I have just updated the firmware so as to assign the record button to ISO.
I have read that some are having problems with 3rd party grips after update of firmware. Can anyone tell me what grip they have if it is still working after...
I went today hoping to get a good deal on Nikon gear, d800 and some new glass. Disappointed as no discounts at all on Nikon products from any of the supplies.
Could not walk freely around in the morning as it was heaving with people and as predicted a lot people with huge backpacks and tripods...
I'm going as I am already attending a different trade show on the same day.
Does anyone have any idea as to what kind of discounts may be available on items such as nikon bodies.
What did people experience at the last show?
