I'd be tempted to find a second hand hp micro server. You can put your own preference of disks and setup on it then. You should be able to pick one up for a ton and then add disks.
Mine works great for media storage. Running windows home server as it was cheap and does exactly what I need.
I wasn't just talking about this forum to be fair. Most of th pics on here aren't too bad but check out some on eBay and its frightening how bad some of them are.
The problem there is one persons idea of excellent or mint condition is completely different to the next mans. I wouldn't buy anything unless there's a detailed and clear pic of the item to go with the condition description.
I've been looking round recently a a couple of second hand options for lenses. I'm not sure if it s just me but I'm amazed by the quality of the pictures people put up of their professional grade kit. I've seen pictures recently of a Nikon 17-55 2.8 for example where they were not only...

It seems the concencous is I could do without it and that the nikon would be the better purchase taking the financials away from it.
I think...
Having seen several examples of what the tamron is capable of, I fully agree with you. I guess I'm also asking if the Nikon is worth the extra?

That's not bad at all to be honest. 144 a year for that amount of kit including accidental damage is pretty good. I'm assuming they base the price on postcodes etc as normal insurance covers would?
:bonk:
Can you recommend any specific companies? My gear is far from high end in reality and its on the hour insurance for now but it could actually work out cheaper with dedicated insurance?
