Airline hand luggage bag w/ gear

Hey guys, I am looking to pick up a LP Protactic 450 but have a question regarding its dimensions. Although the site lists the dimensions I wanted to see if there is someone on here that can actually measure it, reason being I have another bag from lowepro and the dimensions are like 4-5cm...

    stitching problem in cs3

I sometimes have this issue as well but changing the zoom level and flattening the image always sorts it. It has something to do with the way that the zoom previews are generated at the different zoom levels (25%, 50%, 100% etc)

    Wanting to get more portable.

Bearing in mind that you will be wanting the BG (in the hilite I assume) to be 1-3 stops more than the main subject to get it to blow to white then you would more than likely be better off with more powerful lights in there. There are a couple of options to go for depending on what you get for...

Macaffe up for renewal...Time for a change?

+1 I've got it running on about 8 machines at home, very light on memory usage and only bugs you when you actually have a threat, I've never had it flag up false positives either.

    Hilite hire?

I know it is a long shot but I have an event to do next weekend and after going down today to check what kind of space we had been 'alotted' it isn't roomy enough for our usual vinyl roll setup. Does anyone know of any places that hire lastolite hilites? Or even someone that has one that...

    Photoshop Skin Smoothing Action

I use Portraiture and yes there is a lot of tweaking that can be done in it but you can also let it do its own thing and it is very good, unlike other pieces of software it doesn't actually blur the skin so it retains the texture to give you a more realistic look.

    O-Flash Ringflash

With ring flash adapters no because depending on what you put into it you would have a different guide number (SB900, SB600, 580EXII etc.) With normal ringflashes (the uber expensive ones) then yes they will probably give guide numbers.

    Konig Light Stands

I've got a couple from 7dayshop and they both came with bag but I too am bored with how flimsy they are when I'm balancing SB900's on them in anything more than a slight breeze.

    Aperture 3 - YAY!!!

I too have seen all the bugs that Gary mentioned above, hopefully there will be a point release in the not too distant future. Unfortunately as Apple don't do any mass beta testing these kind of things are bound to happen. Another thing that is annoying me (I understand that it was there in...

    elemental m series heads

The studio that I used to use has a complete Elemental set-up (ISL Studios) and they are a brilliant set of lights, especially for the price you pay for them , very reliable and with being s-fit it makes them very cheap to by mods for compared to other makes that use their own fittings. We...

    Modeling light for small flashguns

When I first heard what they were showing in the segment I thought it would be some kind of torch based system or something that ran off batteries (to go along with the strobist ether) not simply a mains powered light. As Hoppy said, if I am near to a power socket and want a modelling light...

    Aperture 3 - YAY!!!

I have been a long time LR user as it just felt better to me than Aperture 2 did however I am downloading the trial and may turn back over to use Aperture, I prefer it's terminology of Backup Vaults etc.

    ISP's

I work with ADSL and its limit's every day so can tell you first hand that just because O2 or SKY might be brilliant ISP's for one person doesn't mean the same for you. If you are limited to 1.5mbit by the distance from your exchange then that is the best you are going to get on ADSL and still...
