    Compact thoughts?

Thanks folks. I think I have settled on an rx100 mk3. Decent camera, even when compared with adslr, still has similar functionality, has a viewfinder and fits in my jacket pocket. I'm just trying to find one for good money now. Typical, but I keep finding the cameras I ruled out cheap. Ross

    Compact thoughts?

A friend managed to borrow a Nikon 1 J5 for a play. Lovely camera, and size-wise it is about right. The one thing that I think will annoy me with CSC's is the lack of a viewfinder. What are peoples experiences in sunlight with the screens? I know you can tilt and turn most but does that get a...

    Compact thoughts?

Thanks guys. I think a trip into John lewis is a good shout. I'm not specifically looking to take particular types of shots, its more about being able to have it with me more often. I haven't managed to cut the list down yet but I'll keep you posted. Sony a6000 might be worth a look too. Cheers

    Compact thoughts?

Hi Folks, Currently own a Pentax K2000 but I have never had as much use of it as I want because of the size (bag, lens, etc.). I was thinking of getting compact so I take it with me more often (i.e. not when specifically going out to take some photos) but don't want to lose too much of the...

    Wordpress SEO troubles

Can you find your site at all; if not check your wordpress privacy settings, they might be set so search engine can crawl your site. If you have managed to add decent SEO to the pages on your site then it could take weeks before these are picked up. In short, there is no quick and easy way to...

Buying tripod and looking for head advice

Thanks folks, I didn't add a budget because I don't know enough to sensibly set a budget. Decent kit but I'm not made of money :o) I was swaying towards a ball head (Manfrotto 498rc2) but now with the point about panning I'm back to stage 1. I think I need to go into a camera shop and have a...

Buying tripod and looking for head advice

Landscape, night shots and some light painting. I've just been using the 18-55mm kit lens; I haven't decided on what other glass I want/need at the moment but I wouldn't imagine going over a 200mm lens.

Buying tripod and looking for head advice

Hi Folks, Never bought a tripod before; pretty settled on a Manfrotto 055XPROB but know very little about the pro's and con's of the different heads. Can anyone suggest some practical advice and suggest any heads to look at? Thanks in advance, Ross

    Another 'wegie

Hi Folks, Noticed there are already a few people from around Glasgow; I'm another one on that list. A relative beginner, bought a Pentax K2000 last year and have been getting to grips with it since. I'm at the stage where I can just about take the photo that I want within the first 10...
