Hey @SFTPhotography - So, I ordered the 645Z - turned up today, it's a beast alright... Need to pick up a lens and hunted around for the 28-45mm but they are all just out of my budget... Can I ask what other lenses you would recommend? Mostly for Landscape/Architecture but also occasional...
Just a bit beyond my budget unfortunately, if I can get the camera & a lens for a little over £2k - I think that would be a good start, can't imagine finding the body any cheaper anywhere...?
I think the GFX might be a little wasted on me at the moment - though I would love to try one! After putting some thought into it, I can't say that I would honestly need more than 50mp - I still regularly print images from at 24mp Canon 5d Mkiii - up to A1 and never had any complaints so I think...
Ha, I was actually looking at this one - https://www.mpb.com/en-uk/product/pentax-645z/sku-1813894 which is what got my interest (slightly higher shutter count but the body doesn't look as scuffed, which I assumed was a good sign!).
With my (somewhat) limited budget, I was potentially looking...
Hi @Knikki Thank you so much for the detailed response, that's incredibly useful (for instance, I would have completely overlooked the necessity of tehtered shooting on the H1's!)
After thinking about it, I might be biting off a bit more than I can chew in terms of trying to make one system...
Hi,
I'm looking for some advice please...
I shoot Medium Format film and with recent price increases, it's become more of a 'few times a month' thing than an 'anytime I want' deal... However, I use digital cameras every day for work and they just don't give me the same enjoyment.
This got me...
Hi All,
Thank you for the greta recommendations.
I never knew about the Hasselblad Flxbody - really interesting camera but probably doesn't save me any 'hassle' (ignore the pun!) over using a LF kit with a roll film back...
I guess my dream scenario would be pan/tilt lenses for the Bronica...
Hi All,
I'm looking for a bit of advice...
I'm trying to satisfy an urge to add tilt/shift to my current medium format shooting. My current camera of choice is a Bronica GS-1 with a preference for 6x7 format.
I shoot a lot of architecture and would love something that can either utilise a...
Hi, I develop 35mm/120 & 4x5 at home. I use Tetenal C41 chemicals and have always been pretty happy with the results.
I use a large plastic container, fill it with water and use Sous Vide style heater to get the water to temp (38d). I leave the chemicals to heat whilst loading the film...
Sorry, might not be the 'right' place to ask but it seems like a pretty good audience, but I'm really interested in buying a GS-1 - please feel free to drop me a message if anyone is selling one :)
To get a true 70's look I use a true 70's camera, so film (with dirty negatives!) and B&W would still have been quite prevalent! If you do stick with digital, there are a ton of 'get the vintage look' youtube tutorials out there :)
