Like 3d tracking on my d700 but it takes a lot of getting used to, and not good in certain wildlife situations Yes, back button focus for me too, but again it takes a bit getting used to

I would stick to the Nikon set up..Tamron and Sigma just not for me

Is it the 5d or 7d that has noise issues?

Droppped my Nikon D700, it had a battery pack and lens on at the time. so I think that one of these took the brunt of the imapact, as I cant see any external damage to the cmaera.. But, the camera dosnt work, the mirror dosnt move when the shutter is pressed, although there is a clicking, but...

Oh well, they must be crap then..........

Stick with what you have Bill and learn to get the best from it, or you will be chasing gear for the rest of your life.. Want some more reach, get a V1 or V2 and stick your 300mm on it
