The S7 actually has a lower MP than its predecessors. Samsung appear to have stopped pixel chasing (for now anyway) with the larger sesnsor. Its nice to see 'real life' examples rather than some perfect blue skies beach scene they always drag out.

How did you find the S7?

Imagine trying to use car headlights as your light source, but make them portable, and stick em on a tripod = site lights :D Its all good fun, and i think your supposed to learn the hard way how light works. :thinking:

I've just invested in a site light @ 500w, only £30 so its an affordable option to get some even light. The draw back is that its hard work to get consistent results as apposed to 'proper' studio lights, you have to work harder to control the light. They get warm too. Have a look at...

I have the SB-600 (with the D300) - i never knew that the command mode could fire the flash off camera! :bonk: (should of read the manual!) Knock up a quick DIY softbox and your on your way to studio shoots....

Would you get much from a 50mm? Its really about 75mm with the crop sensor, which you have with the Tamron, but not at 1.8 obviously. A SB-600 will give you off camera flash (through D90's commander flash mode) so that can open up a wealth of photo opportunities. Once you start with off...

The more you get right when taking the shot, the less you have to do on the pc (and rely on software). So yes, use it if use like. Use the histogram too to help with exposure - helps with getting a nice even exposed shot. (of course, you may not want that, but thats a different story...)

I was impressed with the bare knuckle fighting. It looked brutal. At least they had a 'ref' of sorts. Go into any city/town centre at the weekend, near the taxis or kebab shops and watch non travellers bare knuckle fight. ;)

Go on the street on a Saturday afternoon. High streets are usually packed, less chance of being spotted.

....I would assume it's for the physical PC, that would get flogged, and any data formated as it would be incriminating to have pictures of someones wife, kids and dog on show. :thinking:

+ their main purpose is probably gaming or watching films on the pc.
