Hi all,
Got a question to help out a customer... not my line of work so thought id ask here!
Company shoot all their own retail products (Automotive parts) in house for display on their website. They like the products cleanly lit against a pure white background to make sure the details are...
Last one of these only went to today and not to end of the weekend and I'm sure many are shooting this weekend... so come on, what are you shooting to start the New Year? Me.....
- Sat 1st: Leeds Carnegie v Gloucester (Aviva Prem Rugby Union)
- Sun 2nd: Exeter v Leicester (Aviva Prem Rugby...
Against the general trend, I use Lightroom for ingesting, captioning and processing my sports images pitchside. I find it works well for me and love that my shots are then catalogued in one piece of software and searchable down the line. Most sports pros use PhotoMechanic and Photoshop together...
Any Northeners about who shoot SuperLeague.... how does their accreditation system work?
Reason i ask is I'm shooting the leeds union match on Jan 1st and theres now a league game straight after so was hoping to shoot that to if possible for my agency (who are Southern so dont normally cover SL!)

Couple of big fixtures as far as premiership rugby goes...
26th December Saracens v Wasps at Wembley Stadium (Gavin Hensons comeback after no Rugby for 21 months!)
27th December Harlequins v London Irish at Twickenham (with Rebacca Ferguson and Matt Cardle from xfactor performing before KO for...
I think some variety can help, but a good picture editor or people at an agency who look at a potential employees portfolio can see if you are producing quality images, and usually if you can do that for one sport, the technical know how can be transferred to others fairly easily.
No chance.... Hopefully I'll be in London doing the two big Aviva Premiership rugby union games at Wembley and Twickenham on 26th and 27th respectively, and Im supposed to be going to Wasps' training ground for a training session/press conference shoot on Wednesday but i've a feeling weather...
Never used aperture and am extremely happy with Lightroom 3... be warned though both programs are extremely memory intensive. I am running 4gB RAM and its ok but it was slow with 2GB
