    External backup solutions

It does Neil but apparently not enough to stop the pulsing. Cheers for the link photon, I presume i'd just need an enclosure of some kind to strap them in after that? Any other, mid priced options?

    External backup solutions

Evening all, I recently put together a new editing/gaming rig and as part of that bought 2 1TB drives (Samsung Spinpoint F3's). However when added to my case and all powered up, i get the most annoying 'pulsing' noise as the 2 drives shift out and into sync with each other every half a second...

    27" Iiyama Monitor advice

I have the Iiyama model you mention and have so far found it very nice to work with and use. Depends though as if your serious about editing then you (and I but alas i do not have the pennies) should go IPS.

Poll: What monitor size do you use for editing?

1 27" and 1 22", in photoshop i have the image(s) on the 27 and all the tools layers menus etc on the 22", which so far works the best for me.

    Leuchars airshow - lens advice?

Interesting topic, this is to be my first airshow as well this year, and as I only have a 70-200 I was planning on hiring a 100-400 for the event incase the 200 is not long enough. Be interesting to hear from others that have shot there before?

    Circular Polarisers

Anyone tried the hitech CP to fit P size square filter holder? It's only like £30 so doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence!

    Going to an Air Show

Would people recomend spot metering if they do not have the reach to fill the frame and intend to selectively crop after the fact? Only reason I ask is that I only have a 70-200F4L on my crop body sensor 1.6 = 320mm so filling the frame is going to be hard for me (And i cant afford a longer...

    North east: seascape sunset locations

Morning all, not entirely sure if this is the best location for this thread, mods feel free to move it if I'm wrong. Rcently motorsport photography has been all I've been doing and i fancy trying something different and would like to try my hand at some seascape sunset long exposure type...

Having taken ownership of my 40D...

I own the 70-200 F4L non IS lens and think it is fantastic. If your using it for sports, you will i'm guessing be shooting moving targets most of the time and you will probably be tracking that moving subject. If this is the case, I believe the IS would be redundant in most situations, ergo not...
