I just bought a sigma 30mm f1.4 which front focuses a little. Kris kindly suggested in camera adjustment to solve the problem which sounded great but I can't seem to find it on my 40d is this a 50d only function or is there some way to do it on my 40d?
Thanks
For my 50D it's in the custom...
So I went for the onestop digital option and the lens just arrived. Stuck it on the 40d took some pics of a page of text at a sloping angle and it is clearly front focusing a little. It doesn't seem to be an issue when focusing on things at greater distance or maybe that is just because the...
I have a bottle of Balvenie 30 on the go, not that I would have gone out and bought it, I won it and it seemed rude to ebay it. Have to say it is rather nice.
Gosh £260 there that saved me £35
I have heard some of these have had front focus issues, I wonder how many and how bad. One of the attractions of buying new would be that I could swap it if I got a dodgy one. Not sure how easy that would be if from HK. If it's only an occasional dodgy one I...
Sorry this is a nube question.
I photograph craftsmen at work in their workshops which are sometimes a bit dark. This is voluntary work as part of a scheme to help them promote their work.

I am no expert photographer but I do studio shots fo my own craftwork in a similar set up so here is my very amateur tips.
1 I would move the flash further round to the right and put a reflector (big sheet of white paper card or whatever you have) to the left to fill the shadows.
You have...
How about a 500d at £400? http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=180779
Would that give as good image quality in a low light situation as a 40d?
I know the 40d has metal body and probably extra features that I am unlikely to use. I don't think the 15m pixel sensor is such...
Not sure what this is saying.
There is nothing significantly better than my 300d in that price range.?
Everything under £600 gives poor low light performance you need a 5d?
I had thought that my photo quality was more limited by lens and photographer skill than body. With lights I have...
