Thanks for your feedback, the flash is now released but not working, will stick to the speedlite until I get over Christmas and then see how much it will cost to set right. Thanks again for your help.

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help with a problem I have with my 400d. I have been using it with a speedlite 430 but was out the other day without the flash gun and when i tried to use the camera the built in flash would not open. I tried the button on the body but the flash is still not releasing...
