Same problem with the Epson R2400,been converted to use permajet inks,head cleaning is the worst way to go,just drinks ink,just print something small every couple of weeks or so

Having just recieved my 105mm this morning to complement my Nikon D40,the first thing I noticed is that I have to lock lens aperture ring at minimum aperture (largest f stop) before it works. Is this normal ?? Wish I knew how it all worked .!!!!
