I moved to Sony from Nikon as there didn’t seem like there was a Nikon mirrorless system coming and I wanted to reduce weight/size of kit. I first thought Sony was the solution due to camera size being much smaller, but FF lenses were generally the same size and weight (Sony slightly lighter...
I thought I’d get out earlier and have a look around a small wood in our village with the Z 105mm macro earlier. It was a nice surprise to see the bluebells have started to come out.
Macro is definitely a different genre to my normal wildlife/landscapes. Nice to see some nice bokeh and diffused...
It’s definitely makes sense in you your case if you have several F mount lenses.
I’m all in on Z lenses so getting a G lens and then a FTZ to use it would have made the cost difference much close £420 v £669 (show discount),
Several years back I bought a 300 f2.8 used that I unfortunately found did have fungus inside. That ended up being an expensive lesson.
When kit cost can add up I find it’s something I should at least think about.
I’m not saying dry cabinets are definitely needed, but thinking about how...
If you already have a FTZ adapter the cost difference is quite noticeable. For me buying a FTZ solely for the 105mm marco G version didn’t make sense considering I’ve kept to Z lenses for everything else.
I’m thinking about my camera/lens storage. Currently I store my camera kit in some F-Stop ICU’s in a cupboard in our lounge. It’s the main area that stays a relatively stable temperature in our house.
I have a few Govee temperature sensors dotted around the house so I have an idea of humidity...
The Kase kanopy lens hood that I ordered has arrived.
Initial thoughts are that the lens cap doesn’t work like the normal Kase magnetic adapter rings as I hoped. Sadly the kanopy hood lens hood adapter rings isn’t magnetic. This means the lens hood can’t be removed and a lens cap held in...
I’d sent questions via email to Kase last night and considering they are still at the photography show they’ve already answered my questions by 0730 this morning!
The lens cap does fit on to the kanopy adapter ring without the lens hood in place which as great,
Stock of the new pinch caps...
Has anyone been to the Kase Filter stand and seen the Kanopy lens hood? I managed to buy the 95mm set for my Nikon 14-30mm f4 but somehow missed the Kanopy lens hood! Having got home today and put the 95mm set on the 14-30 I’ve found it’s not possible to still use the Nikon lens hood. The Kanopy...
I did wonder why a guy was walking about with a big stuffed toy octopus until I later saw Octopus Energy near the fundamentals stage. It was bit of a surprise seeing my energy supplier there!
Im a bit annoyed with myself that I didn’t notice these on the Kase stand at the photography show on Sunday.
I’ve picked up the 95mm revolution filters to use with the Nikon 14-30 f4 lens. I’d noticed Kase recommend the 95mm filter size so I got the 95mm set with the 82mm to 95mm adapter. The...
We went yesterday. It was definitely smaller than previous shows with clear unused space down the side and end where the cafe’s were.
It didn’t feel as busy on Sunday as previous years. It felt ad busy as the year where the Sunday had really cold weather stopping many travelling. I guess a lot...
