hi, I'm noticing a difference in sharpness when shooting directly from live view or using the viewfinder.
This is using autofocus. Live view seems to have less focus area - and specifically areas away from the centre aren't as sharp. Is this what I should expect?

Thanks. Interesting, that's quite low(?).. People seem to suggest midway is usually the sharpest for most lens'? So setting it to say 5 would speed up the necessary shutter speed quite a bit when in a bright space for artwork photography, is that a good thing for detail etc? Thanks

HI all, any recommendations or this? I'm looking into lighting with diffusers for professional artwork photography, constant lighting not flash is preferred - as this seems easier to work with? Portable etc.. First investment in lighting, but needs to be solid. Say £3-400.. thanks!
thanks all!, if i went for a 60mm lens, and am shooting say at 20x16 inch painting for example. Is there a way to work out how far away i would need to be to fill the frame and fit the piece? Often I am working in tight artist studios / homes and want to keep using a prime lens (for sharpness)...
