Still have my old 40D body and a Tamron 10-24mm but had an X100 for the last few years and now just ordered the X-Pro 1. I've taken the 40D out maybe once or twice. Each time I've been utterly sick of lumping around the extra weight.

Wasn't exactly expensive. Just a cheap job from amazon. Is the hot shoe different between the two cameras then?

I have a thumb grip and a soft release on my X100, they're transferrable on to the X-Pro right?

Hmm, just shelled out for an X-Pro1 but seriously considering selling all the add ons I have and keeping the X100 as a second camera. Especially since some of my favourite shots of the past two years have been with this camera. The fill flash is just perfection.

Welp, couldn't help myself! Just bought a reconditioned X-Pro 1 with an 18mm and 35mm lenses. Just have to decide whether to keep my X100 or not! Really looking forward to unboxing and learning a new camera

Perhaps I'm interpreting the method differently from you. I took it to be that the images were formed form 10,000 images of the same model taken as they moved in a dance step/form. So using a high speed camera to take those ten thousands photos and then merging them to create his shots.

Used my 40D + all the kit on my honeymoon because I knew I would be stationed in a few key places or be getting organised transport elsewhere. Bought a Fujifilm X100 for Toronto because I knew I would be walking a lot and didn't want to carry a massive kit bag with me. Worked out perfectly for me.
