    Minimalist ideas and subjects

Hi Although I signed up years ago, I'm a noob here and don't think I've posted much if anything at all, so hope this is appropriate in this forum. I've been getting very interest in monochrome scenic images, particularly minimalist subjects. I've attaached a couple of my shots as examples...

Studio Strobe HSS and Yungnuo 622c triggers

Hi, I'm trying to get my head around HSS. Here's what I think I know. On my speed-lights, I achieve HSS using the Yungnuo 622c triggers by making all the appropriate settings. It works because the HSS compatible speedlights emit a very fast series of bursts for the full duration of the...

Kenko 2x Teleplus PRO 300. Any good?

True it's not surprising, although there are occasions when you pay a premium for the name. I often hope that's the case and get to spend less of my hard earned on a comparable product which is just as or almost as good.

Thanks very much for the replies, Kinda disappointed, was hoping the Kenko would be good enough, but it looks to be a false economy.

Kenko 2x Teleplus PRO 300. Any good?

I recently got myself a Canon 70-200 f/2.8 II and would like a 2x teleconverter for it. Conventional wisdom is that I should get the Canon Extender EF 2x III but that is significantly more expensive than the Kenko. I've read some good reviews on the Kenko and I am thinking of getting it...

    Long lens for wildlife

Thanks so much for all the excellent replies. At this point I think the Canon EF 70-300 f/4-5.6L IS USM represents the best bang for the buck, although I would like faster, but that would put things out of my budget. I'm putting off getting a long lens for the time being, but I will return to...

    Long lens for wildlife

Hi I'm looking into which long lens to choose for my Canon 7D. I've borrowed a Canon f/4 70-200 and loved it. I'm considering the f/2.8 version but I know I need more reach. Would the long end be enough with a 1.4x tele-converter or would I need a 2x? Or should I go for a longer lens...

Hello everyone I recently heard about this forum from a TP member and decided to join up. I'll give most things photography a go, but recently my B&W work has been getting some good feedback. I have a Canon 7D and recently got a Panasonic GX-1 and have used it for street work and along...
