It's a pity that no one spotted such an obvious insult earlier. There is a happy band of brothers who don't apologise when they are wrong and don't retract when they cannot substantiate their comments. I'd have thought that one of them who had have been happy to chime in.

I would agree with you. This forum seems to have a convention where "snap" is a comment people make with the intention of being insulting. References to the "family album" are equally insulting.

I would agree with you completely. I recently went to China armed only with a G10. I am more than happy with a number of the images I captured.

Has anyone noticed that the quality of the photographs they take seems to be better when a group of people meet to take photographs? It's my view that the interaction with other toggers with the same subject in front of them leads to an interchange of ideas that makes for better images. I think...

Why the strange date format which seems to make little sense to me. I'd have thought that DDMMYYYY was more intuitive, if you must have the year first (and I don't see any reason for it) then YYYYMMDD is better. There is one gallery that is almost exclusively Porsches, why not make it all...

Excellent image Maureen. I do remember seeing (and it's impossible to forget) the gentleman in the background at the Liverpool Odeon. The finest live performance I have ever seen by a singer. Vinyl 45s and LPs - those were the days: very evocative.

I would recommend the G10 very highly. The controls are well thought out and there enough shooting modes and scenes for most people. The one drawback however is from ISO400 and up it becomes noisy; it's fine at 80, 100 and 200. The image quality is such that I think you can adjust the white...
