Cheers mate, i will ring them and have a chat see what they say, obviously if i can get a second hand one for £50ish then i will be better off doing that, just depends if one comes up soonish or not.

I have 2 lens off a film nikon but am yet to try them to see if they work, at least it gets me back to practising with the camera while i am trying to find a new lens.

I thought as much to be fair, i have just seen that topic about the other one selling, just my luck, i signed up here a while ago when i first bought my D50, but i'm not really that good at taking photo's so sort of lost interest, then i was thinking what to do and thought i would pop on to see...

I stupidly dropped my Nikon DX AF-S Nikkor 18-55, just the standard lens that came with my d50. and now it wont zoom and anything taken with it just comes out black. I know its a long shot but i was wondering if it can be fixed rather than buying another one (found brand new ones for £160)...
