Check out the Lyson and Fotospeed sites. Even if you don't try their inks they have some great papers and they will provide profiles too based on test prints from your printer.
I know people who use Pro-Am imaging too. Fantastic prices but it's always gloss (I think).

Well one thing is for sure you wouldn't consider printing at home on economic grounds. Even if you pick up a cheap printer the cost of paper and inks (inc. CISS) can't compete against the labs. But as any home printer will tell you that's not the reason for doing it - it's the control it gives...
If you get a few shots off at 3-5 fps just as the towers start to blow you may well beat the shock wave through the tripod by a couple of seconds. After all the speed of light is quicker than the shock wave. You may also have time to get some useful shots once the vibration passes as well.

I can only go on the Friday. Do you reckon it'll be more interesting on the Saturday and Sunday ?
What else is worth photographing in Liverpool ? Any 'must do' buildings or sites ?

What's the ambient light like at 3.00am ? :thinking:
I don't think my flash will reach. Are they going to illuminate the scene do you reckon ? Hopefully masses of bright arc lights.
Although they are touting Meadow Hall as the viewing area I reckon you'd get a better shot from the other side...

There were some great stills of the storm on the BBC Kent website you pointed to as well Neil. A spectacular storm by all accounts. Obviously your shots were the best Neil.:clap:
