Yeah, they probably are, but for a tenner they'll at least let me bracket what I want from a macro! I had a set of macro rings for years with my lovely old Pentax MX film camera but didn't really use them all that much mainly because they were difficult to use and of course you don't get much...
Does anyone have any experience with using the Raynox DCR-250 with a 72mm lens? I've tried the lens with cardboard over the end with a 43mm diameter hole in it and there is significant vignetting even at full zoom (it's a Nikon 18-200mm), so I'm guessing that I'm going to see the same thing...

Don't know how useful it is, haven't tried any of the stuff on the list yet. I too only get about 15-20 shots with my D300s even though I have a fast card, and I suspect some of this stuff will...

Hang on, though, the Ranox seems to be compatible with max 67mm filter screw size. That'll fit you 18-50mm, but not the 70-300.
Or am I missing something?

Lag! That's the word I've been missing! I've tried all sorts of searches, mostly using the word "speed" as in "release speed", and "shutter release delay" to no avail. "Shutter lag" gives me the answer straight away - 45ms! :bonk:

I want to trigger my D300S using the remote cord with the plugs on the end (MC22) driven by some electronics.
Does anyone know if there's a spec for the time between the trigger signal being sent and the start of the exposure time? Clearly it would have to be without any of the variable...
