I am planning to buy Tamron 17-50 mm F/2.8 – Nikon fit lens and Panamoz seems to have one of the cheap prices (£230) around. From your experiences would you recommend this dealer to buy the lens from? Or any other suggesstions are welcome.
@ Mike410: I am also planning to buy Tamron 17-50 mm (non-VC) and can see lots of available on eBay at £220-230, but how reliable are these? Have you or anybody in your knowledge bought this lens from eBay? Also how about warranty?
@intel68: Thanks for your response. I have no experience of using any of these lenses including Nikon 50 mm F/1.8, but what people around me who have, mentioned that 50 mm is bit softer down at F/1.8. If that’s the case, should I still consider it when focal length of 50 mm is already...
@Schots: Thanks for your quick response. However I still have the same question, do I really need another 50 mm lens (even if it’s Nikon 50 mm F/1.4) as focal length of 50 mm is already covered by Tamron? If yes, then why?
