Best buy batterys for flash guns

Use rechargeables with the highest mAh rating you can get, i.e. over 2000. Higer mAh, longer shooting, simples!

Nikon D80 or D200? Any D200 in Birmingham?

As someone who's used all of those Nikons I'd have to say D90 if you can stretch to the budget for a second hand one. D90 blows D80 and D70 out of the water.

Followed on Twitter by a Celeb?

With Twitter though, a lot of the celebs suffer from having people impersonating them, so can you be sure IF they are the genuine article???

    What's binable ?

I used to be like you and thought some of those would be good "abstract" shots, but the truth is you can make those from good shots. I delete anything that isn't sharp, anything over exposed and very similar shots. Storage of average shots is probably getting easier and more affordable...

Newbie trying to get into DSLR's

Personally I would reccomend starting simple with something like a D40, which is cheap, fully featured and easily resellable. Sure it might have compatibility issues, but you need to find out IF you really want to get into photography. Better to have £250 gathering dust than £600....

    Hi from Birmingham

Hi I'm new to this forum but have been recommended to register as you lot are a fountain of useful info & guidance. I've mainly done industrial, underground, low light and derlelict stuff but looking to broaden my horizons. Ive only done four years of 'serious' photography and use a D90.
