    Photolive - any good.

I received an email promoting this too. So far as I can see, this is the first year it's been on. It looks good to me - has anyone who's been to anything similar recommend it? Tia

Africa series, BBC, Discussion thread :)

ITV3 are repeating all the series, right from the start, from the 14th(?) January:) I was lucky enough to go to South Africa for the first (and hopefully not the last) time in March last year. We saw two giraffes fighting like they showed last night - not quite as bloody or as violent, but...

My new birding set up (thanks to TP)

:D:D:D Lucky man Andrew - what a great set up :D:D:D Can I please ask for more details of the card holder in the bottom right of the second photo - is it for SD cards? If so, it looks like it could be just what I'm after. Thanks, Puddle

    Nikon D7xxx owners thread

Sarah, I use the ladies black rapid strap (can't remember the exact model number, but they only do one ladies model) and find this really helps. To be honest, I don't really struggle with a small lens on my D7000. If I use my 70-200mm then I really feel that after an hour or two! The black...

    Nikon 70-200mm 2.8 + Nikon TC20E II Converter..

Hi, I have a couple of photos taken with the 70-200mm and TC-20E III on my flickr. Here is a recent one. The original looks sharper before the upload. I'm pretty new to this lens combo and find that any poor results are normally down to my user error:lol: _DSC3990edit1 by .:W:., on Flickr...

NEF files turn to xmp files after editing.

:plusone: I always thought I was doing something wrong as I kept spotting the XMps but had no idea where they had come from! Thank you

    Which telecon for a 70-200

This is a picture of a lioness I took recently using the Nikon 70-200mm VRII and the TC-20E III. EXIF is a shocking 1/80, ISO 200, f5.6, 230mm - I know! :bang: But it was a "proper" grab shot! Only a small amount of sharpening and then uploaded to Flickr. Will try and find some better...

    Blackrapid straps?

Practical Photography have an offer in this months edition (I received mine yesterday). If you subscribe for 12 months you get a free Black Rapid strap - not sure which strap they are giving away though. The mag is at home at the minute, but I can provide more info later if you would like...

Remote Control Release for Nikon Camera! What's the best?

You need to set the bottom of the two dials which are on the top left of the camera to the little remote symbol (think it's the next to last one on the right but I don't have my camera with me right now). The shutter should then trigger via the remote. You can adjust the time delay for firing...

    Storing camera and lenses.

Jason, I might sound thick :bonk:- but do you mean it will or won't cause damage/be a good idea? I like the idea too so would be grateful for your advice:) Thank you, Puddle

    Lens help and advice please

Thanks GeordieStew, but I can't access the classifieds yet. Stewart, thanks for that - it's great:thumbs: Didn't realise the 120-300 was quite so heavy. Think that one is definitely out of the equation - it will be all my hand luggage allowance in one go! Thank you Ausemmao. I can only get...
