Managed to catch this having missed it last time around. Definitely worth setting up a camelcamelcamel alert.

Non UK Italy at easter - where to go.

Definitely option 1! If you had longer than 4 days for the road trip I would go with option 2 but with the time you've got it's just too much driving for the amount of time you actually get to spent seeing things!

    Nikon 70-200 f2.8 VRII vs Tamron 70-200 G2

The Nikon VR2 is my favourite lens of all time :) Plus if you buy second hand it should hold its value very well.

Not quite the £82 of the OP but it's gone down to £99.99 (from £119.99) if you need to buy now.

According to Nikon Rumours the Euro price is €3,799, so not much difference to the UK price.

    Nikon 70-200 E FL

My answer is based on some assumptions, so apologies in advance if I've added 2+2 and made 5! Assumptions are (i) if this is for a D500 then you're not pro and (ii) if you were originally looking at the tamron then you're not pushing the boundaries of the lens' performance for sports / action...

What did I do wrong here?

The ISO shouldn't have been an issue - the focussing is what has let the shot down and together with exposure settings. Are you using single point focus? If not, try it out, takes a bit of getting used to - try it on large slow moving objects first, then move to birds/planes etc. to get used to...

Beginner Do I have to use the ISO speed as listed on film box?

Depending on where you are in London, you could try Forest Photographic? My dad used to use them for slide processing and they were reasonably priced. http://www.forestphotographic.co.uk/about/filmprocessintro
