Go for the 50mm. I got one over the summer and I love it! Best 50 quid I ever spent (bought it in Hong Kong). I have the 1.8 not sure about 1.4 never used one but can't recommend the 1.8 50mm enough.
Not bought one yet, I am just starting out and fancied something else to play with. If you don't want yours anymore just let me know and I will sort it out with you, that would be great Nigelpaul cheers!

So negative! Just because its 13 quid and on ebay you instantly presume its sh**e:lol:
Thought I might get that response, bumped into someone today who was raving about his, that he had bought. He paid £16 rip off! Granted I didn't see any pictures he had taken with it.

You think this is worth 13 quid to have a play with?

I am no expert, but I really like the lay out. It has a very professional feel to it. Pictures were stretched on my laptop however as you pointed out in pt2. Have you created it yourself?
Hi all, I am very new to photography and am using TP as my guide for just about everything and am looking for more advice. Bought my camera here and additional lens in the classifieds (D50 with kit lens + 70-300mm). I am becoming increasingly frustrated at being unable to take any decent shots...
Hi all, still very new to this and am really enjoying looking at all of the images and expertise available on this site. I have got a copy of photoshop 7 and am very much in the process of learning to use it. Could you give me some pointers as to the best way to produce a B+W image? Also any...
