I accepted the offer as Rich met the negotiated asking price, which I stated was the minimum I'd led it go for. So please don't go calling others names in threads - if you wanted it that much you could have offered the asking price! :)
I have both the 35mm and 50mm and find I use them equally. If I had to say one id go 35mm as I tend to use it more indoors with limited space. I'm also using a cropped sensor :)
I purchased a neewer one from amazon for £45. Turned out to be a meike grip. No issues other than it takes a while to get used to the reversed aperture and shutter dials, apart from that initial mental adjustment, happy with my purchase! :)
Thankyou mark. I have had a look at the site. Some fantastic images but unfortunately only a few portrait style images of people.
Thanks to those who have contributed a picture to the discussion and keep them coming! Really helping me to chose between a 85mm 1.8 prime and a sigma 105 macro! :)
Ok, thanks for all your inputs. I'm kinda stuck in deciding now. If I were to buy a macro over a 85mm prime, what would you all reccomend and how much would it be used price?
Hi all, I've been wanting a 85mm f1.8 prime for a while now but havent been able to part with the cash.
now I've borrowed a 90mm macro lens and quite enjoyed the world of macro.
In term of portraiture is there a place for a 90mm macro f2.8 and a 85mm f1.8 prime in my bag or will they both...
Hi, I'm looking to add a monopod to the Xmas list for a maximum £50-60 pounds. It must hold a d7000 with 70-200mm attatched well. Any reccomendations?
Thanks for your time :)
Will be attending a fireworks display tonight and Saturday night. Looking for some advice on equipment and settings for night portaiture as opposed to pictures of the fireworks.
My equipment is d7000, 35mm f1.8, 50mm f1.8, 18-105, sb800 speedlight.
Many thanks :)
Flash is in camera but bounced in various positions. I guess the point of things being too close to the wall is a good one, but hard to avoid in the house :(
I'm using 35 and 50mm primes. I've taken some images but can't upload right now. I tend to bounce the flash off the ceiling or the wall. Happens more in portrait orientation. for example if take one a picture of the GF I tend to use portrait orientation and end up with a shadow on the opposite...
I am using a sb-800 so it may be me that's the problem and not the flash! :)
The umbrella idea is a good one - thanks for that.
I have been using bounce flash off the ceiling, but am still struggling with shadows in various places so have been wondering if I need a second flash, but my wallet...
A really useful link - thanks!
Has anyone else got some good advice for indoor shots with a single flash. I am finding shadows are the main problem when indoors.
