    you're doing this manually? If so, not sure how simple that would be. Unless you're on auto-ISO (and on a tripod of course...) you will have to compensate for your change in aperture?

    right, it does indeed make a lot of sense if you're close to your foreground subject. Say you're low on the ground for instance. The R5 has automated focus stacking, I believe... got to try it out yet!

    yes, it will be cheaper! Just really not sure If I want to go the Canon route again for the next camera. I kind of feel their QC has gone down since they joined to the mirrorless bandwagon. Conversely, their prices have gone way up. Look at the RF lenses, prices are just through the roof.
