…. especially since I see that the Z8 is £2840 at Panamoz - with a three year UK based warranty.
Got most of my new stuff from them
I am not interested in either right now; still sticking with my Z6 and D500 combo but a 45mpx for landscape might be interesting-used Z7
I use a sigma 100-400 on a Z6, D500 and a Nikon 1 V2/3.
It’s quite light ( relatively speaking ) resolution is good certainly in centre field even in high pixel density bodies like a V3. See lenstips review eg. Should work well on a 45mpx body.
It Will also take a tc1401 teleconverter which...
I got my A7 mk1 used to mount my C/Y lenses having used them before on a NEX6 + focal reducer. When the Z6 appeared, I realised I could mostly fund it and use Nikon and vintage lenses on just one body by selling my Nikon DSLR and the A7.
Quite liked the A7 - felt a bit like my contax 139 in...
Thanks for posting this -its very interesting and I will have a good read later.
My own limited experience was trying my Contax G biogons (21 and 28 ) fitted with the reversed plano- convex front filter on my A7 and then on a Z6. I could actually see no difference in the corner smearing...
The 14-30 was the second lens I bought and the most used one. The reviews point out that it is weaker past about 22mm but on a z6 I can’t say that I notice it which is handy cos about 28mm is my favourite WA walk about FL.
Very light and compact.
I also have a bright 24 prime ( Samyang 24/1.8...
Well many have been using those 150-600 and 100-400 f6.3 for a decade and gotten good results. Sure, the primes are better as you would expect but a lot pricier apart from ones like the 500pf.
Most will benefit from stopping down a bit and don't expect super corners from any of them - its a...
This is what a 10-30 PD looks like:

The PD lens have motorised zooms like those on many point and shoot cameras. You rotate a ring on the lens to go between wide and tele.
Probably posted the following before but...
I wouldn’t limit “creativity” to just the visual arts and humanities.
Just try and be any reasonable scientist or engineer or technician without creativity and see how far you get.
That said - I am just a snapper and have been since the late 60’s - no pretence to be anything other although just...
I used to use a zhongyi turbo 2 focal reducer / speed booster on a NEX 6 I had with, mainly contax MF lenses.
It was inexpensive and worked pretty well to reduce the field of view back to what you get on FF.
Other benefits: you get an additional stop eg my contax 28/2.8 became a 28/2...
Good to know - That is the main issue I still have with buying from the better grey sellers. Had to send a few Samyangs back to MPB for decentre/ softness- turnaround was within 48 hrs.
Had expected possibly weeks from eg Panamoz etc
If you intend to do a lot then the Godox route is the way to go. Or if you may buy more than one flash for example.
Also the radio commander is better than Nikons optical system in some scenarios.
If you really just want one TTL flash them I still think it’s worth looking at a nice used...
Yep c41 developed bw film unless you want to develop your own then hp5 and scan it yourself . Last I did was pre covid - pretty easy to do if you still have a tank and changing bag etc.
I used to do a lot of colour on Fujifilm when Asda had in house processing for a quid or two alas…..
I...
