Hi Amin - I am in a similar position to you and have pondered what lens for quite a while. However I have now decided on the 50 F1.4 simply because on my cropped 600D I think it will give enough reach for what I am intending. Although no plans to go full frame yet. :)

Yep, very useful function. Have tried slow shutter speeds both with and without and you can see a little difference from micro vibrations.

Really nice pictures. Never tried the stars yet but will certainly give this a try. Never heard of the 600 rule either so will give it a shot and see how I go.
