From Lightroom to Photoshop, settings lost.

It is unusual to install on a seperate drive, and in my experience can cause all sorts of little anomolies. If you already know this I appologise :bonk: The setup that has always worked best for myself and others I know, is to install to the default folder on the OS drive and then only...

sRGB v Adobe RGB 1998?.Which is the Best..

Sorry I lost this thread for some reason. Anyway Michael has explained it very well.(something I have trouble doing ) If you have an image in adobe rgb and use the save for web function you see that it goes flat and darkens, if you first convert to srgb and then save for web you...

    Slik 700dx v Manfrotto 190

I have the 190 prob with a 486RC2 ball head and it's excellent quality, it 's not to bulky yet quite sturdy, fits on the bag nicely and not so heavy that you will want to leave it at home. The splitable arm is fantastic and makes it easy to get the camera either very low or in to any other...

    Photoshop CS3 worth it?

depends how you work with your images. If you use alot of filters it offers smart filters which can be re-adjusted later in the edit (just like in a video editor) and the new photomerge and merge image features are great. Most of the other upgrades or improvements are a bit lame, the new...

    Shiny skin?

I use the clone tool set to 50 opacity and mode to darken, then clone from close to the area. using this method and only the light pixels are affected and the skin keeps it texture.

Photoshop vs Lightroom - Real World Users

Very sensible attitude, the truth is you can have PS without Lightroom but not the other way round. I have the 30 day but that's it for me.

sRGB v Adobe RGB 1998?.Which is the Best..

Snap! I work in adobe rgb for editing and printing and then convert to srgb for images that are going to the web. Also look at the "color settings" under the "edit menu" and see if the intent is set to "perceptual" in the "conversion options" (you may need to click more options to reveal...

    Extract tool greyed out....why?

After effects is the same, it has 32bpc capability but the amount of filters is restricted. There does seem to more available than in photoshop, but after effects is using much lower video resolutions so maybe hardware being able to cope with the added data is a factor.

Photoshop vs Lightroom - Real World Users

I agree. Lightroom with all it's fade transitions and the light out preview looks great but is all this needed to get your pics dealt with. I do like it but only as an alternative to bridge and acr. For me that all the fancy bits will probably be unused and LR will just be a way of getting...

    Hello to you all

I've been lurking for a while and it all seems relaxed enough for me to say hi. My name is Mike and I have always enjoyed photography as part of my work. In recent years work has taken me towards video editing and web design, but photography has always been the one thing I've wanted...
